Swock M Power +

Our flagship product in the field of twist-lock fasteners is the Swock M Power +. It is based on a system we developed in 1993, which is now available in an improved form. The Swock M Power + is designed to shorten the rope length by turning the knob (tightening) and to release it again (lengthening).

Configuration

The cable tensioner has a gear ratio of 5:1, achieved by means of a planetary gear system. This allows for a high gear ratio within a very compact space. Thanks to its unique tensioning force, it is particularly suitable for applications requiring high loads.

Possible applications

The potential applications are wide-ranging: from alternative fastenings for shoes as a replacement for laces or Velcro fastenings, through to sporting applications such as adjusting the head size on helmets, and orthopaedic applications. Thanks to the flexible cable routing, multiple adjustment mechanisms can be implemented using a single fastener, even in the most confined spaces.

Operation

Turning the knob to the right tightens the rope (shortening it), and turning it in the opposite direction loosens it.

Assembly

For attachment to the component, we offer adapter plates that can be glued, riveted or sewn on. The fastener is then clicked into place. They are available in three versions: ADAPTER PLATE TYPE A – domed, narrow, ADAPTER PLATE TYPE B – domed, ADAPTER PLATE TYPE C – domed, narrow.

Cable guides / pulleys

We also stock a range of standard rope guides. These guide the rope into a specific position and help to ensure optimal force distribution. The rope simply clicks into the guides, making replacement or installation straightforward.
