What types of fastenings are there?
There is a wide range of fastenings, some of which differ significantly from one another. Classic fastenings include, for example, shoelaces, buttons with buttonholes and zips. However, other solutions are also available. The Gudo range includes the following fastenings, for example:

Below, we provide a brief overview of these types of closures.
Screw caps

At Screw caps This is one of the most popular and widely used types of fastening. It consists of a twist knob with straps or cords attached to both sides. When the user turns the knob to the left, the straps or cords shorten. Turning it to the right makes them longer again.
The twisting motion is therefore used to tighten or loosen the shoe, helmet or other object. The knob allows you to adjust the tightness precisely. With a single twist, a shoe that is too tight can be loosened, whilst it can be tightened slightly in the same way.
Ideally, the twist lock should be fitted with a quick-release function. This allows the user to open the lock instantly and easily. This can be useful, for example, if a ski boot gets stuck between two rocks and the wearer wants to free their foot. The quick-release function is usually activated by pressing the centre of the twist lock.
